بيان مشترك بين هيئة الأركان والائتلاف الوطني

تحقيقاً لمطالب الشعب السوري في نيل حريته، تم اجتماع ضم رئيس وبعض أعضاء الائتلاف الوطني، ورئيس هيئة الأركان وبعض أعضاء مجلس القيادة العسكرية العليا. لقد تم التأكيد على هدف إسقاط النظام بكل رموزه وتفكيك أجهزته الأمنية، وتمكين الشعب السوري من اتخاذ قراره الحر والدفاع عن نفسه، عبر إسقاط النظام وتسريع عملية تشكيل حكومة مؤقتة رفعاً للمعاناة التي يعيشها شعبنا. رئيس هيئة الأركان: العميد الدكتور سليم إدريس رئيس الائتلاف الوطني: أحمد معاذ الخطيب 19 كانون الأول 2012 Joint Statement by the Chief of the Syrian Military Joint Command and the National Coalition In response to the legitimate demands of the Syrian people in their struggle for freedom, a meeting was held between the President and members of the National Coalition of Syrian Revolution and Opposition Forces and the Chief and members of the Syrian Military Joint Command. The present members reaffirmed the popular demand of toppling the regime and all its figures, dismantling the Assad loyal security forces, and empowering the Syrian people to take their destiny into their hands and defend themselves by bringing down the regime and accelerating the forming of the interim government to end the suffering of the Syrian people.
